“I will take great care of her! Don’t worry!” Heather called.

“Thank you! I will try not to worry!” I yelled back. Then I climbed into the limo and sat beside Kaden.

“Are you okay?” Susie asked me.

“I’ll be fine, thanks,” I said sadly.

“She’s in good hands,” Kaden said.

“I know, but I hate leaving her all the time,” I said sadly.

“I know, but you will have fun this weekend!” Anna said.

“I will!” I said, Kaden hugged and kissed me, which made me feel a lot better.

“How long is the drive?” Susie asked as the limo driver pulled off.

  “Eight hours,” Kaden said.

  “Wow, that’s awhile!” Anna said.

“Not really. If you ladies talk the entire time,” Kaden said.

I smiled as I turned towards Anna. “How are you and Rick doing?”

“We’re great! He proposed to me recently,” Anna replied.

“What did you say?” Susie asked eagerly.

“I told him it was too soon,” Anna replied.

“What did Rick say?” I asked.

“He was upset, but understood where I was coming from,” Anna replied.

“I bet his heart was broken,” Susie added.

“He knows I love him. I just want more time to experience the joys of being a teenager,” Anna stated.

“We should have invited Rick to come with us because Kaden will feel awfully alone when we ladies are hanging out, Susie stated.

“You could always call him and ask him if he would like to come,” I suggested.

Anna grinned as she pulled out her cell phone. “I’ll text him.”

While Anna texted Rick I glanced over at Lucy to see her facing away from us. I got up and sat next to her touching her arm urging her to face me. When she found me her eyes were blood shot and she had a white substance under her nose.

“Lucy, are you doing drugs?” I asked stunned.

At this point everyone directed their attention towards Lucy and me.

“What’s everyone looking at!” Lucy yelled vulgarly.

Everyone just stared at her. A moment ago she was calm, now she’s becoming vulgar.

“Lucy, calm down. Tell me what’s wrong,” I pleaded.

“It’s none of your business!” Lucy yelled.

“Lucy, let us help you with this. You don’t need to be doing drugs. You’re better than that,” Kaden pleaded with her.

Lucy had a smirk fill her face as she grinned at Kaden. “I remember when we would do drugs together then we would have amazing sex! Don’t tell me you forgot, Baby?” Lucy told Kaden as she straddled him.

“Please get off of me,” Kaden begged Lucy.

“Oh, Baby, you know you want me. You told me I am better than Sara in bed, remember?” Lucy said as she began run her fingers through his hair.

“Get off of me!” Kaden said sternly as he tried to gently pry her off of him, but she wouldn’t budge.

Anna, Susie and I just stared at the scene until Lucy did the unthinkable. She kissed Kaden! At that point Kaden didn’t even get the chance to push Lucy to the floor because I leaped at her like a dog was chasing me and yanked her to the floor by her hair.

“You slut!” I yelled standing over top of her.

She just laid there laughing at me.

“Don’t let him fool you. He would meet me anywhere, anytime to get into my pants,” Lucy laughed evilly.

I grew angrier. “Kaden loves me! He would never touch you in that way!”

“Apparently you don’t know him like you think you do.” She continued to laugh as Anna, Susie and Kaden sat on the edge of their seats as if they were waiting for a fight to break out that they knew they would have to break up.

“Honey, he doesn’t love you. You don’t give it up,” Lucy replied as she sat up.

“We made that decision together. How do you know about that?” I asked sternly beginning to believe Kaden really had cheated on me.

“I told you; he likes me in bed.”

I had enough. I pounced on her like a jack rabbit scared witless. We fought as we rolled across the limo floor making the limo driver stop at an erupting halt. Anna, Susie and Kaden tried prying us apart, but neither Lucy nor me let go of the handful of hair we held in our hands from each other’s heads.

“I need help!” Kaden yelled to the top of his lungs to the limo driver who rushed in and helped Kaden pry us apart as Anna and Susie stood outside the limo shocked at what just occurred.

As the limo driver tore Lucy from the limo Kaden sat me down as he kneeled in front of me touching my bruised face.

“Sara, what got into you?” Kaden asked stunned.

“Was she lying? Tell me she was lying,” I pleaded.

  “Lying about what, Sara?”

“That you two had sex and did drugs together.”

He laughed angrily. “Yes, Sara. She’s lying.”

“Then how did she know we were staying absent from having sex?”

“I don’t know? Maybe you told your Anna or Susie and one of them told her.”

“I didn’t tell them.” I eyed him mysteriously.

He sighed as he looked away from me momentarily.

  “Maybe she guessed it?”

“Are you being serious right now, Kaden? I can’t believe you would hurt me. My dad was right; I am too young to get married.” I threw my ring at his face then I stormed out of the limo with Kaden at my heels only to stop outside the limo door.

We had stopped on the side of the road in a gravel area next to a field filled with cattle.

I stormed over to Lucy with Susie following me as Anna tried to comfort Kaden.

“You are a home wrecking whore!” I pointed in her Lucy’s face.

“Sara, don’t give her the time of day,” Susie urged me away.

“He sure was wild in bed. I can’t wait until we become one again!” Lucy yelled as I walked away.

My face grew stern as I halted in my tracks and turned on my heels in a complete 360 and stomped back to Lucy.

“How did you find out Kaden and I are abstaining from sex?” I demanded.

“I already told you. Why should I tell you again?” She replied snottily.

“Tell me!” I screamed as I pointed in her face.

She peered at me as if I were stupid.

“Sara, she knows because you told Anna in school. Anna told me and then I told Lucy. I’m sorry we told Lucy. We didn’t expect this to happen and we have all been such great friends for years,” Susie explained.

“Way to go tattle tale! You ruined all the fun,” Lucy grinned.

“Shut you trap whole, Lucy,” Susie said sternly.

I sucked in air as I held my mouth open.

“You better shut your mouth before you catch a fly,” Lucy teased me.

“Shut up!” I yelled at her as I slapped her across her face.

I smiled secretly as Susie and I walked away as Lucy held her mouth open and held to her cheek.

I ran over to Kaden as quickly as I could and leaped into his arms; wrapping my legs around his waist and my arms around his neck. “I’m so sorry, Kaden,” I apologized.

Once he set me back down he placed my ring back onto my finger and peered into my eyes.

“Promise me you’ll never throw this at me again,” Kaden pleaded as he held to my hand.

  “I promise,” I replied.

He kissed me then he held to my face with his hands as he rubbed my bruises.

“It’s a shame your face will look like this while we’re at the beach,” Kaden claimed.

I removed his hands from my face holding to th
em as I grinned. “It’s nothing a little make-up won’t cover up.”

Anna, Susie and I climbed into the limo as Kaden and the limo driver stood alongside the road waiting for Anna’s mother to arrive. Once Kaden explained what happened to Anna’s mother Kaden and the limo driver climbed back into the limo and we continued down the road.

“What a way to start this vacation,” Susie said.

“It’s probably better she’s gone. Did Rick say if he could come?” I asked Anna.

“He said he can make it,” Anna replied.

“Great! I won’t be the only guy,” Kaden cheered.

“But I’ll be the only one without a guy,” Susie complained as she stuck out her bottom lip looking as if she were going to cry.

  We all chuckled.

“What have you decided to do about you and Josh?” I quizzed Susie.

“We’re working things out,” Susie grinned.

I grinned as I lay across the seat with my head resting on Kaden’s lap as I drifted off to sleep.

“We’re here!” Kaden yelled as he clapped his hands and stomped his feet startling Anna, Susie and me from our sleep. I held my head in my hands as I sat up as my ears are ringing and my headed pounding as if I had gone on a drunken splurge the night before and woke up the next morning with a splitting migraine.

Kaden wasted no time checking to see if I was okay for he hopped out of the limo and screamed with joy as he ran around the limo with his arms held high.

“Are you sure you want to marry that lunatic?” Susie laughed.

“He might be a lunatic, but he’s mine,” I smiled.

We climbed out of the limo with warm air smacking us in our faces and the smell of the ocean entering our noses.

“This is great,” Kaden grinned widely as he peered into my face and hugged me then he jumped and ran around like he was high.

Anna, Susie and I laughed under our breath at Kaden. As Anna and Susie went in to explore the house I remained outside with Kaden as Rick arrived.

“Hey, Rick!” Kaden shook his hand and half hugged him. As Kaden began to take our luggage out of the limo Rick looked at me with a “has he gone crazy?” look.

I giggled and shrugged my shoulders. While Kaden and Rick chatted and took the luggage into the house by elevator I explored the house.

The beach house we were staying at was called Dad’s Legacy. This house was two stories high and was painted white and blue. The limo was parked in the driveway that leads from the road to underneath the house. There was a set of stairs to the left of the driveway. There was a decent size pool in front of the driveway surrounded by a white picket fence. Before entering the pool to the left was an elevator.

The landing at the top of the stairs was small with two big blue doors that opened to show a living room straight in front of you that had two mismatched sofas; a flat screen TV set upon a simple wooden television stand, a glass coffee table was set in front of the sofas on a small square rug. To the right of the living room was a porch painted blue where you could view a section of the beach from in-between a hotel and other beach houses with white wicket furniture set upon it.

To the right before stepping onto the porch was a four seated round wooden table. Walking down the short hallway a few feet past the living room was a six seated kitchen table set on the outside of the kitchen. To the left of me was a refrigerator; to the right of me was a counter that began from where the table was set outside the kitchen all the way around past the stove which was straight in front of me.

Leaving the kitchen through a small open area was a bedroom placed to the right of me that Susie would be sleeping in. Upon entering the bedroom was a two seated loveseat placed to the right and the bathroom which was a couple steps away. The queen bed was placed center of the floor in front of a window. There was one other window and a dresser with a mirror attached to it.

Leaving the bedroom a couple feet ahead to the right were a set of stairs. As you reached the top of the stairs there was a bedroom directly to the right of the landing. In this bedroom which would be the one Anna and Rick would be staying in had a queen bed directly in front of me, a dresser to the far left, a two seated loveseat in front of the bed, another dresser was in front of the bed and loveseat occupied by a flat screen TV.

Leaving the bedroom was a long hallway that held two bed rooms a few inches apart from each other to the right of me. Both rooms held twin beds; a dresser occupied by old screen TV’s and a night stand.

The room Kaden and I would be sleeping in was directly down the hallway from Anna and Rick’s room. To the right of our room was an elevator. In this bedroom there was a queen bed center of the floor against the wall. There was a dresser to the far right of me, a closet a few feet from the dresser, a cabinet in front of the bed that held a flat screen TV and a bathroom a few inches from the cabinet.

I had noticed that every bedroom had the same gray, blue tight knitted carpet and the downstairs kitchen, living room and hallway had deep brown wood flooring.

I sat on the bed Kaden and I would be sharing, bouncing on it to see how comfortable it would be when Kaden rushed into the room tackling me.

“I didn’t know the beds were trampolines,” Susie said as she entered the room with Anna and Rick.

“I didn’t know there were spies around,” I joked as Kaden and I sat up.

“Shows you that you should watch your back more often,” Anna smiled.

“So, what are we going to do this evening?” Rick changed the subject.

“We should unpack first and then get some food,” Kaden suggested.

“Yeah, I wouldn’t want to starve,” Susie joked.

It took us all about two hours to unpack then we all climbed into Rick’s navy-blue ford explorer and headed to the local Safeway that was just a couple blocks down from our house. After we unloaded the groceries we drove to the mall that seemed deserted. There were only about fifteen cars in the huge parking lot that were probably all employees. As we walked through the mall we would pass another customer here and there. I didn’t know about the girls, but I was beginning to get the creeps.

After we purchased a handful of DVD’s the girls and I rushed out of there like we were going to get caught for stealing.

When we arrived at the house we all went out to the beach where the girls and I laid out on beach chairs watching Kaden and Rick boogie board; laughing at them when they crashed onto the sand.

“I don’t know how you guys feel, but I felt weird being at the mall,” I claimed.

“I’ve never seen a mall so bare,” Susie added.

“I was glad when we left. I was beginning to feel like I was in a horror movie,” Anna stated.

“You should have said something, Anna. Sara and I would have waited with you outside while the guys bought the movies,” Susie informed Anna.

“You know how guys are though. You send them out to get something and they come back with the wrong thing,” Anna giggled.

“At least they don’t come back empty handed then we’d be even madder at them,” Susie added.

“Woman are so hard on guys,” I laughed.

“We’ve got to keep them in line one way or another,” Susie grinned.

  We giggled.

Anna stared off into space for a couple moments then she turned back to Susie and I. “You know that cookout my family has every year?” Anna quizzed us.

“Yeah, it’s always a blast!” Susie replied and I agreed with her.

“I think Rick might propose to me again that day,” Anna said worriedly.

“Why do you think he’ll propose again at the cookout?” Susie asked.

“Because he knows I won’t say no in front of my family,” Anna explained.

“What are you going to do?” I asked.

  “
Say no again,” Anna shrugged.

“Anna, don’t embarrass the poor guy,” I added.

“I can’t say yes then go behind my family’s backs and give him the ring back,” Anna claimed.

“More the reason to accept his proposal,” Susie stated.

“Do you guys think I should accept his proposal?” Anna quizzed.

“I’m engaged,” I flashed my hand at her that held my engagement ring.

Anna huffed. “This is so hard you guys.”

“Do what you want, Anna. It’s your life,” Susie stated.

“I still feel like I did when he proposed the first time,” Anna explained.

“Think on it. You’ll make your decision soon enough,” I added.

“I hope so the cookout’s not far away,” Anna sighed.

“I can’t believe we’re only here for tonight, tomorrow and Sunday morning,” Susie sighed.

“We should make the best of these short days then,” I smiled.

“What do you suggest we do?” Anna asked me.

“We should go to the house get us some boogie boards and join the guys,” I grinned excitedly.

“Let’s show these guys how to boogie!” Anna laughed.

The guys tried their best to show us girls how to boogie board, but they lost desperately. While Anna and Rick chased each other around on the beach; Susie went back to the house to phone Josh while Kaden and I walked a short distance away from Anna and Rick and sat down where the water would rush up to us and splash our toes.

“Those two are wild!” I referred to Anna and Rick as Rick picked up Anna with one arm and swirled her around.

  “They’re only flirting,” Kaden grinned.

I grinned. “Do you know Rick’s proposed to Anna and she turned him down?”

“He told me earlier today. He wants to propose to her again at her parent’s cookout.”

  “Oh, so, Anna was right,”

“He asked my opinion and my advice was if he wanted to ask her once more then that’s the last time he should ask her.”

“What would you tell him that for? Anna loves Rick, but she’s just not ready to say I do yet. She wants to live life a little before she settles down.”

“I gave him that advice meaning for him to not ask her over and over again to marry him because she’ll get angry with him and may lose that chance of ever having her as his wife.”
