Love Goes On Page 4

“Why are we leaving so soon? I haven’t even had breakfast.”

“Okay, we’ll have breakfast first.” We kissed. “We need to eat as fast as we can because our flight is leaving in an hour.”

I took his cell phone from him as we walked into the mansion viewing the time which was eight-fifteen.

When we stepped off of the airplane at six-forty-five we were greeted rudely by the paparazzi snapping photos left and right of us making my eyes see millions of colors. Our limo driver tried his best to keep them back as we climbed into the limo.

“That’s crazy!” I sighed with relief as the limo driver shut the door.

“I try my best to avoid the paparazzi,” Kaden informed me.

“I don’t know if I can put up with that every time I go out.”

“That’s what they do; there’s no stopping it.”

As we drove to Westin Paris-Vendôme I rolled down my window to take photos of the many statues that caught my eye and of the Notre Dame, Sainte Chappell, Saint Tropez and the Eiffel Tower which was not far from Westin Paris-Vendôme.

Westin Paris-Vendôme looked even more breathtaking in person than it did on the cutout. The hotel was painted beige and had about fifteen to twenty steeps leading up to the hotel. As we approached the entrance of the hotel a doorman opened it for us.

“Bienvenue en Westin-Paris Vendôme. Je m’appelle Seàn,” Seàn nodded.

I smiled at Seàn then I looked toward Kaden hoping he knew what he said and how to respond.

  “Merci, Seàn,” Kaden grinned.

I smiled once more at Seàn as Kaden ushered me through the door.

“What did he say?” I quizzed Kaden as we walked down a long hallway leading to the lobby with lights lining the ceiling and with black and marble tiling; there was also a mirror leading all the down the hallway.

He said, “Welcome to Westin-Paris Vendôme. I call myself Sean.” I said, “Thank you,” Kaden explained.

“So, obviously you’re fluent in French.”

  “I studied in school.”

“What made you want to learn French from another language?”

“There was no real reason. I just liked the French language.”

“How come you never told me this?”

“I never saw a reason to tell you.”

“Is there anything else I need to know about you?”

  “Seul l’avenir nous le dira.”

I peered at him dumbfounded. “Huh?”

He chuckled. “I’ll buy you a book on the French language?”

  “Please do.” I grinned.

I examined the lobby as Kaden paid for our hotel room. There was pinkish-brownish striped carpet with stylish accompanied by two-toned pink and black pillows. There were fabulous pictures hanging around the room. There was an elegant fireplace with a beautifully styled mirror hanging above it. There were a couple exquisite chandeliers hanging from the ceiling.

Kaden put his arm around my waist as we followed the Bell Hop to our room.

  “Je m’appelle Ambroise,” Ambroise said.

“Ravi de vous rencontrer. Merci pour votre service,” Kaden grinned as he handed him a tip.

Ambroise smiled as he graciously took the tip. “Merci. Profitez de votre séjour.”

Kaden grinned as he shut the door behind Ambroise.

“Okay, I understood, “Thank you” and he calls himself, “Ambroise.”

“Good. You’re beginning to learn. I told Ambroise it was nice to meet him and thanked him for his service. Ambroise thanked me for the tip and added that we enjoy our stay.”

“You might think I’m catching on to speaking French, but I don’t think I’ll ever catch on.” I sighed as I plopped onto the bed.

“It won’t be so bad. I’ll help you and so will the book I’ll be buying you.”

I walked over to the fireplace and picked up a small pamphlet with a bit of information on the hotel written inside. Westin-Paris Vendôme is located in the heart of Paris and is the ideal location in the city’s first arrondissment. There are pampering sessions at their spa, The First Six Senses in France.

You can rebalance your energy in their Westin workout gym. You can also view the Eiffel Tower in one of their unique view rooms and explore their live webcam. There are four-hundred and twenty-eight rooms, and suites that have the perfect balance between traditional perrsian influence and contemporary design.

I set the pamphlet back in its place then I began examining our room. We were staying in one of Westin-Paris’s uniquely designed suites. There was purplish carpet covering the bedroom floor, a fireplace was directly across from the bed with an elegant mirror above it and on the mantel was an arrangement of flowers.

There was a small, but simple bathroom near a small round table placed by two windows that stood from the floor to the ceiling with a white curtain covering both windows and a brown curtain pushed to either side of the windows.

There was an outstretched bed across from the fireplace with white bedding and a beautifully painted picture hanging above it. There was a couch with a round footrest and a chair in-between the fireplace and the bed.

The living room floor was covered with brownish carpet and a similar fireplace to the one in the bedroom. There was a crystal chandelier hanging over a burgundy couch and two chairs placed on either side of a coffee table that held a vase of flowers.

“This room is beautiful!” I exclaimed.

“I love the light the windows let in,” Kaden joked as he whisked the white curtains aside revealing the night sky.

  “What light?” I giggled.

He grinned as he covered the windows back. “I guess I’ll save that phrase for tomorrow.”

I smiled. “I’m hungry. Can we get something to eat?”

“Sure. We can eat at Le First, restaurant Boudoir Paris.”

“So you’re not only fluent in French, you know where to eat at too.”

“It’s always fun to learn new things.” He grinned.

“It’s funny, no strange how I keep finding things out about you. You seem to have not told me everything about yourself.”

“You can always ask my parents about what I’ve done, where I’ve been and who I’ve dated.”

“I want you to tell me.”

“I tell you. Just not all at once. It might be too much for your brain to handle.”

“Hey!” I threw a pillow off the bed at him.

He put up his hands in defense. Hey, now!” He laughed as the pillow fell to the floor.

Kaden and I walked into Le First, restaurant Boudoir Paris to an inviting yet romantic environment. There were a couple rows of brown tables with a glass candle and a small bouquet of flowers placed on each table. Loveseat chairs were on either side of the tables and were decorated with a tassel hanging from the sides.

“Bienvenue en Le First, restaurant Boudoir Paris. Je m’appelle Aldrich. Peut I vous commencez avec une boisson?” Aldrich spoke.

“Nous aurons une tasse de thé vert,” Kaden grinned.

Aldrich grinned and swiftly walked away.

“What beverage did you order for us?” I asked.

“Green tea. I hope you like it?”

“Good thing I do or you’d be ordering me another drink.”

  “I would?” He chuckled.

I smiled. “Was it difficult to learn how to speak French?”

“It took me some time to learn the basics of speaking French.”

“I just realized I’ve never heard you speak Romania; your own language.”

He smiled sweetly. “Ești la fel de frumos ca o raza de soare care a furat inima mea.”

I gazed into his eyes dreamily as he spoke. Whatever he said made my heart skip a beat.
r />   “Now you’re going to have to buy me a book on Romania language,” I grinned.

“In time I will. But this time I’ll just tell you. I said “You’re as beautiful as a ray of sunshine that stole my heart,” Kaden grinned.

I smiled as far as my mouth would let me. “You’re so sweet.”

“Puis-je prendre votre commande maintenant?” Aldrich asked as he placed our tea in front of us.

“Kaden, could you tell Aldrich I would like the pan-sautèed codfish with “andoville” sausage, potatoes and fresh herb salad,” I told Kaden.

“Je vais avoir la poularde de louè à l’estragon, foie blond aux crêtes de coq, asperges vertes au jus et mon fiancé aura le cabillaud poêlé à l’andouille de vire, pommede terre charlotte confite, pousses d’herbes s’il vous plait,” Kaden told Aldrich.

“Vous avez un fiancé belle,” Aldrich spoke as he took our menus.

  “Kaden grinned. “Merci.”

Aldrich smiled as he bowed his head then he walked away.

“It looks like the waiter likes you,” Kaden informed me.

“Well, I could care less because I have already given my heart and soul to you,” I smiled.

He grinned. “This restaurant is facing the Tailerics Gardens which I’m taking you to see after we eat.”

  “That sounds very romantic.”

“I have so much planned for us this week. I hope we can manage to do everything.”

“I can’t wait to find out what you’ve planned for us!” I smiled giddily.

After we consumed dinner, we shared dessert which was raspberry cheese cake, red fruit coulis.

“My grandmother gave me this and told me to place it on the neck of my future wife.” Kaden informed me as he pulled a square box from his coat and slowly slid it across the table to me.

I opened the box gasping at how beautiful the necklace was that laid inside. Kaden sat beside me, took the necklace out of the box and placed it around my neck. I softly touched the necklace. It was the most gorgeous piece of jewelry I’ve ever seen or even wore and probably the most expensive.

“Oh-my-gosh, Kaden, this is beautiful!” I kissed him.

“This necklace is a Burmese ruby, one of the most sought after varieties of ruby due to its blood-red hue. The gem is practically valuable due to its extraordinary size. Burmese rubies barely exceed a few carats! In addition, you can wear it as a tiara!”

“Wow!” I said in amazement. “It must have been very expensive.”

“When my grandfather bought it for my grandmother; it costed him 14 million dollars!”

My eyes grew big. “Kaden, where would I wear such an extravagant necklace?”

“This necklace will come in handy to you in time.”

We kissed tenderly. “You spoil me too much.”

“Correction; I don’t spoil you enough.”

I giggled as we kissed again.

While we were walking through the Tuileries Gardens hand in hand I touched my necklace with my free hand feeling like I was becoming more of a member of Kaden’s family and feeling like I was the luckiest girl in the world to have such an amazing guy that loves me for me and only me.

“What are you thinking about?” Kaden smiled.

“About how lucky I am to have you,” I smiled.

He stopped as he stood in front of me placing his hand tenderly on my cheek. “You’re wrong. I’m the one that’s lucky.” We kissed.

The following morning I awoke feeling the heat from the sunrays as they lit up the room. “I had a feeling that’d wake you up,” Kaden spoke as he sat next to me then he leaned over and kissed me.

“What time is it?” I yawned as I propped myself up on my arm.

“Time for you to get up.” I rolled my eyes and threw the covers over my head as I plopped back onto my pillow. “Oh, no you don’t!” Kaden ripped the covers completely off the bed.

  “Kaden.” I whined.

  “Sara.” He mocked me.

As Kaden steeped out of the bright light I noticed most of his hair was cut off. I sucked in air as I made my way across the bed to run my fingers through what was left of his hair.

“Kaden, Your hair is gone!” I whimpered.

He slightly laughed. “Well, yeah. I wanted a change.”

  “But I loved your hair!”

“I thought this style would be okay, considering it’s still long, but not as long as before.”

“I guess I’ll live with it.”

He chuckled as I kissed his cheek and quickly walked into the bathroom to shower.

Before we left for breakfast at the Neroli Café Kaden told me he had a gift to give me. He handed me a book called, How to speak French for dummies.

I snorted. “Thank you, Kaden, but I will have you know I’m no dummy.”

He grinned. “You’re secret’s safe with me. I’ve marked the pages that you need to look at to find out what I said yesterday.”

I opened the book and found all the words and when I put them together I found out that Kaden had said; “only time will tell.”

I smiled as I tossed the book on the bed. “Shouldn’t we make the bed?” I asked.

“That’s what the maid is for,” He spoke as he began ushering me out the room.

“But the maid might think something else went on then what really happened.”

“We’ll just let their imagination wonder.” He winked.

The Neroli Café was a pleasant café. Kaden and I sat outside at a small white table fit for two. Placed on the table was an orange with a stem on it. Kaden ordered him and I a coffee and a pastry.

“Don’t you think it’s a bit chilly to be sitting outside,” I quizzed shivering.

“The hot tea will warm us up.”

  “I hope so.”

“I’ve planned a romantic event for us after dinner.”

I smiled. “What are we going to do before then?”

“We’re going to visit the Louvre Museum.”

Kaden and I took metro line seven to station Palais Royal/Muse du Louvre to get to Louvre Museum. The Louvre pyramid was a large glass and metal pyramid surrounded by three smaller pyramids. The pyramid is located in the main courtyard and serves as the main entrance to the Louvre Museum computed in 1989 and is the landmark of the city of Paris.

Louvre Museum may be the world’s greatest art museum in France. Louvre is roughly six-hundred and fifty-two thousand square feet in size; that equals to eleven football fields. Louvre is located next to the Seine River in central Paris, and at one end of the grand axis from Arc de Triomphe down the Champs Elysee, the Louvre is easy to find. The Grand Louvre project has rejuvenated the museum with many new and renwented galleries.

The Formor began its career as a public museum in 1743 with two thousand-five hundred paintings; now some thirty thousand are on display. Some of the most famous works we saw were from antiquity include the seated scribe, the jewels of Rameses two and the Amless duo—The Winged Victory of Samo Thrace and The Venus Milo.

From the renaissance we viewed Michelangelo’s Slaves, Leon and da Vinci’s Mona Lisa and works by Raphael, Botticelli; and Titian. French masterpieces of the nineteenth century include Ingres’ la Grarde Odalisque, Gèricault’s works of The Raft of the Medusa, and the work of David and Delacroix.

We toured the museum right up to an hour before dinner which gave us little time to wash up and dress for dinner and our romantic event afterwards. Tonight we were having dinner at Le Currè des Feuillants is a contemporary space and is contrast to the agitation of central Paris. There were four dining rooms (which can be modified into private dining rooms) communicate around an interior courtyard.

The theme of Le Currè des Feuuillants was inviting and pleasantly romantic with low lighting and
soft music. Kaden and I were seated in a private dining area at a table for two.

Kaden ordered best end of sucking lamb from “Les Pyrenees”, ceps mushrooms. The sweetbread is slowly cooked in clay with Hibiscus tea. I ordered steam cooked lobster, creamy coral, and the claw in crispy roll flavored herbs—garlic “nougatine” with Jasmine tea.

After we consumed dinner we shared dessert which was wild strawberries, rose macaroon with creamy white chocolate mousse and litchis. We headed outside into the cold night air; as we rounded the corner I spotted a horse drawn carriage. As Kaden helped me onto the carriage, the carriage driver greeted us with a warm smile followed by, “bonjour.”

  “He said, “hello.” Kaden whispered.

  “Hello,” I replied smiling.

Kaden said the same then we began our romantic ride through Paris.

“Paris is such a romantic place. Don’t you think?” I asked Kaden.

“Anywhere is romantic when I’m with you,” Kaden kissed my lips sweetly.

Kaden and I cuddled as we finished our romantic carriage ride that ended at the steps leading to our hotel.

The remaining days we were in France/Paris Kaden took me on romantic walks, he took me shopping, he took me to a Moulin Rouge Paris dinner and a show, and he took me on a tour of the Eiffel Tower. He also took me to a Paris food walking tour: Gourmet French food, and to a Paris chocolate walking tour.

Lastly he took me on a day trip to Disneyland Resort Paris. I was having such a blast in France/Paris with Kaden I was sad to leave, but I was excited to get back to the mansion to see my pug, Sadie. I missed her ever so much!

  A Weekend at the Beach

It was now October 21st. This weekend Anna, Lucy, Susie, Kaden and I are going to Myrtle Beach for the weekend. You’d think it’d be too cold to go to the beach, but to my knowledge it would be in the high seventy’s.

“Sara! Let’s go! Kaden called to me.

“Okay, let me say good-bye to Sadie!” I said as I took Sadie from Heather who was going to watch her this weekend for us. “Awe, Sadie! I am going to miss you a lot!” I kissed her on her head and handed her back to Heather. As I walked away, Sadie whined, and I started to cry. I ran to the limo.
